Last Saturday, we attended a culinary extravaganza! The event "Phoenix Cooks!" was like an all day party for the tastebuds and a feast for the eyes as well. And they raised money for The Phoenix Children's Hospital. Doing good and eating good...you can't go wrong with that!
Held at the Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale AZ, they featured chefs from throughout the Scottsdale/Phoenix metro area demonstrating how to cook like a Top Chef!
We tasted both savory and sweet creations while also having the chance to sample some wonderful wines.
The food was fantastic! We enjoyed jumbo scallops served atop a melange of sauteed red, yellow and green peppers... and was that mango, too? I believe that's what added a lovely sweetness to it all. That was just one of many dishes that we sampled. Too many to describe in this short post, so you will just have to make plans to attend the 2010 Phoenix Cooks! A great chance to experience the art of cooking!
Art really is where you find it.
